About
My name is Jessica, a dedicated, obsessed fan of the Buffalo Sabres. I admit that my knowledge of hockey and my love of the team only stems back to about 2000, but I do know more than a thing or two about the sport. In fact, I attempted to play ice hockey for a few months. Unfortunately, after being knocked down one too many times and finding out that my career scoring plateau stood at one goal, I decided that watching the Sabres play would be more safe and enjoyable! There is actual video footage of this, but no one will be seeing that anytime soon.
It is hard to choose a favorite player on the team, since I believe that everyone contributes something. I have a soft spot for the rookie players who take charge and do all the right things at all the right times, but the consistency of the veterans can’t go unnoticed. I also consider anyone who leaves the team to be dead to me, although Martin Biron will always hold a special place in my heart. Who else could do so much from the bench?! Pretty much anyone else who is traded, though, gets yelled at and booed. It might not be the nicest thing, but I’m a Sabres fan to the core!
I hope to add a little discussion to the Sabres community with my thoughts and opinions on the past and future of the team. Hopefully there won’t be too many random tangents along the way. Thanks for reading a little bit about me, and for stopping by Sabres Center Ice!
